Development of Patient-Specific Implants for bone reconstruction

This project is developed in collaboration with the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, and it is focused on the design and manufacture of customised implants to reconstruct bone defects in complex maxilofacial and orthopaedic surgery. These personalised devices are designed to be tailored in shape, aesthetics, mechanical and biological properties for each patient, being fabricated on-demand close to the point of need, reducing the time for implant development and improving the accuracy, safety and quality of patient surgical treatments. This project is possible through collaborative work with medical specialists, companies and other researchers.
